APEC 2013 Features Mobile App And Other Technology Enhancements

A ttendees at APEC 2013 will find several new technical features that will enhance their experience at this premier event. For the first time, attendees with smart phones will be able to download an App that will provide them with information about conference sessions and Speakers, schedules of all events and the exhibitor directory. The App will enable attendees to plan and put together their schedule to make optimum use of their time at the conference.

Other technical enhancements at the conference include:

  • HD projection in the Plenary Session
  • A Wayfinder station in the exhibit hall to find vendors more easily
  • Hosted Cyber Cafes in the exhibit hall
  • Digital signage outside session rooms to allow for updates and latest additional information about the sessions.

APEC 2013 promises to be the largest APEC event ever – even exceeding last year’s record-breaking attendance.  This year we are expecting 3,400 attendees and 185 exhibitors. 

The Applied Power Electronics Conference, which will convene March 17-21, 2013 at the Long Beach Convention Center, continues the longstanding tradition of addressing issues of immediate and long-term interest to the practicing power electronics engineer.  APEC 2013 will provide:

  • A Plenary session featuring presentations on current technical and market issues.

In addition to a world-class program offering of over 300 high-quality technical papers, APEC will again offer a slate of Professional Education Seminars on Sunday and Monday. In addition, there will also be a series of 10 Industry Sessions where important and timely industry developments will be introduced. The ever-popular Micro-Mouse Contest will be held on Monday night after the opening evening exhibit. On Tuesday evening, after the exhibits close, everyone is invited to sit in on one of the engaging Rap Sessions that always generate a lot of dialog. The Wednesday evening Gala is always popular and this year will be no exception.
