The program includes single-track presentations and dialog sessions:

  • 7 Technical Sessions featuring 28 lecture style presentations with presenters from academia, research and industry.
  • Poster Session on the evening of Monday October 25 will provide the attendees the time to interact informally with new technologies being developer from researchers and product developers.
  • Technical Plenary Session will provide insights regarding the role of GaN, packaging architectures and integrated voltage regulators in the powering of electronics. The three plenary presenters are:
    • Isik Kizilyalli, Associate Director of Technology of the Advanced Research Projects Agency – Energy (ARPA-E)
    • Ravi Mahajan, Intel Fellow and Director of Pathfinding for Assembly and Packaging Technologies for 7-nonometer silicon and beyond
    • Tim Phillips, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of EmPower Semiconductor

PwrSoC 2021 will be a hybrid event. Anyone can attend either in person or virtually. Presentations will be live from both in-person and virtual presenters.

There are three “in-person” only events included in the program.

  • “Social networking for Engineers” Sunday October 24 as part of series of professional development seminars co-sponsored by PSMA and PELS.
  • “Trends and Opportunities” Monday October 25 panel discussion with experts from markets analysis, investors, integrated device manufacturers, small start-ups, component manufacturers and system integrators.
  • “Roadmap for Power Integration” Tuesday October 26 discussions that will be fed back to technical roadmap activities of IEEE and PSMA. Thirteen years have passed since the inaugural workshop in Cork Ireland in 2008. The discussion sessions will provide attendees an opportunity to contribute to the roadmaps of the next 5-10-15 years based on the technologies, markets and applications that have developed since the workshop series began.
