Introduction to the Nanotechnology Forum
During the 2007 PSMA Board meeting a presentation was given entitled “The Nano Frontier” which introduced the notion of designing power sources using nanotechnology, that is, the nano scale, 10-9. As a result, PSMA authorized a Special Project to develop an e-learning tutorial on nanotechnology to introduce the basics of the technology to technical and marketing people involved in the power sources industry. PSMA Nano100 e-learning tutorial was the initial step to help members understand the nano basics. The Nanotechnology Forum is the next step in continuing to bring nanotechnology to PSMA members. It is a way to keep abreast of nanotechnology and discover ways to apply it to power source products.
The Commentary & Resources section of the Nanotechnology Forum is designed to achieve this goal by bringing members pertinent and timely nanotechnology information. In addition, the Questions Answered section is designed to answer questions members may have concerning nanotechnology. Even though you may be somewhat aware of the issues in the nanotechnology field, it suggested that you take the PSMA Nano100 and Nano200 tutorials. They may prompt you to ask a question or two and see the possibilities of application.
