 Welcome to the 35th International Conference & the 1st Asian Conference on Thermoelectrics (ICT/ACT 2016) in Wuhan in P. R. China from May 29 to June 2, 2016. This conference is the 35th in the series of international conferences on thermoelectrics that provides a global forum for presentations and information exchange on the latest emerging thermoelectric technology. This conference series began in 1976 held in Arlington, TX USA. Since 1988, International conferences on thermoelectrics have been held in various countries since the international thermoelectric society typically holds a three year rotation for conference sites between Europe, Asia and the Americas, where most of the activities in thermoelectrics research are located. Over the years, International conferences on thermoelectrics have established a strong reputation for the state-of-the-art presentation and information exchange on thermoelectric technologies, advances in the science of thermoelectricity, latest work in materials research and device design, and opportunities for commercialization. They have facilitated global dialogue and discussions with leading global experts. We would like to invite all of you to take advantage of this unique opportunity to visit Wuhan and actively participate in this conference. We hope to provide an excellent platform for interaction and developing friendships with participants from all over the world, who are involved in research, development, engineering, manufacturing and application of thermoelectric materials.

  Wuhan, the capital city of Hubei Province, is located in the central China. Wuhan is a renowned historical and cultural city with a population of more than 8.3 million and a history dating back some 3,500 years ago. It has long been a highly desirable serving as a cultural melting pot and a city characterized by a highly appealing environment. Being a riverside city, its rich tourism resources and attractiveness are favorably represented by the hills, waters and gardens all over the city. The conference venue is the Wanda Reign Hotel Wuhan, the best Hotel in Wuhan, and central China. The conference is organized by Wuhan University of Technology and co-organized by Shanghai Institute of Ceramics (of Chinese Academy of Sciences), Zhejiang University and Tsinghua University.
