On the behalf of organizing committees of 2014 International Power Electronics and  Application Conference and Exposition (PEAC2014), I would like to welcome all colleagues around world to participate in the symposium which will be hold from 5th to 8th November 2014 in City Shanghai, China.

    I am sure that PEAC2014 Shanghai will be a successful event on power electronics field. We are glad that PEAC2014 has got a good response from both academia and industry.  The conference has received more than 455 submissions from 14 countries and after peer review process 315 high quality papers are accepted. On the first day, we will have eight high quality tutorials with topics ranging from Wide Band Gap devices, advanced power conversion and control, wireless charging, reliability of power electronic device and systems etc by leading experts. On the 2nd day we will have highlighted plenary speeches from the world top experts, who will share with us their deepest insight look to the trend of power electronics. The 3rd and 4th days are for the technical sessions covering broad area such as power electronics, renewable energy and smart grid, control etc. Industrial Forum and exhibition are another feature of PEAC2014. Beside academics, we have reception and gala dinner with Chinese traditional performance. Please join us!

    During your stay in Shanghai, besides joining the activities of the conference please plan your time to visit the city and enjoy the culture and local food. The venue is located in Pudong district of city Shanghai, which is home to the Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone and a skyline that includes the Oriental Pearl Tower and the Jin Mao Tower, symbolic of Shanghai and China's economic development. Shanghai is not only a global financial center, and a transport hub with the world's busiest container port, but also a popular tourist destination renowned for its historical landmarks such as The Bund, City God Temple and Yu Garden as well as major museums including the Shanghai Museum and the China Art Museum.
