You Are Invited To The 2006 PSMA Planning Meeting
T he 2006 Planning Meeting will take place on Saturday September 23 in the Balboa Room at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, CA. All PSMA members as well as those interested in learning more about the association are invited to attend and to offer suggestions to the PSMA Board of Directors as they plan the activities for the coming year.

Following a light buffet luncheon, Bruce Miller, Chairman of the PSMA, will present a brief review of the accomplishments and ongoing activities of the past year. This will be followed by a six- quarter financial plan by Treasurer Jim Templeton.

The major part of the meeting will be discussion of options, possible initiatives and priorities for the next 12 months. Previous planning meetings resulted in the Silicon Integration Project, the Power Technology Roadmap Workshops and the Board Mounted Power Initiative. The PSMA currently has the financial resources to fund a number of special projects that can bring value to its members and to the industry. The objective of the meeting is to identify the most useful projects for focus and support in the next twelve to eighteen months.

You may provide input to these discussions even if you cannot personally attend the meeting - just email your suggestions to power@psma.com and they will be included in the discussions. If there is enough interest we will provide teleconference access to meeting for those who cannot attend in person.

Members and guests are invited to remain after the Annual Planning Meeting to join the September Board of Directors meeting, which will take place immediately following.

If you plan to attend these meetings in person or wish to attend via teleconference, please call or e-mail the Association Office power@psma.com. Also, we have reserved a block of rooms so be sure to make your reservations at the Disneyland Hotel soon. The call in number for Group Reservations is 714-520-5005 – ask for the special APEC/PSMA/IEEE reservations rate, which is $169/night.

The APEC 2007 Technical Program Committee will be meeting the following day, Sunday September 24, to select the technical papers and organize the technical session.
